DVA Chiropractic Care in Fremantle: Supporting Those Who Served
At North Fremantle Chiropractic we are proud to be a registered Department of Veterans' Affairs provider. We look after a large number of veterans across the Fremantle area and consider it a genuine privilege to support the men and women who served this country. If you hold a DVA Gold, White or Orange card and have a GP referral for chiropractic, we are ready to help.
What Is DVA Chiropractic Care?
The Department of Veterans' Affairs funds chiropractic treatment for eligible veterans as part of its commitment to veteran health and wellbeing. As a registered DVA provider, North Fremantle Chiropractic can provide chiropractic services directly billed to DVA, meaning no out-of-pocket cost for eligible patients.
Who Is Eligible?
DVA chiropractic care is available to veterans who:
-
Hold a DVA Gold Card (all conditions covered)
-
Hold a DVA White Card (for accepted conditions only)
-
Hold a DVA Orange Card (for specific programs)
-
Have a current referral from their GP or treating medical practitioner

If you are unsure about your eligibility or card type, your GP or the DVA on 1800 555 254 can confirm your entitlements.
Do I Need a Referral?
Yes. DVA requires a referral from your GP or treating medical practitioner before commencing chiropractic treatment. Once your referral is in place, contact us to book your first appointment and bring your DVA card and referral letter with you.
Conditions We Treat for DVA Patients
Veterans present with a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions that respond well to chiropractic care. At North Fremantle Chiropractic we regularly treat DVA patients for:
-
Lower back pain and lumbar spine conditions
-
Neck pain and cervical spine complaints
-
Shoulder injuries and rotator cuff dysfunction
-
Hip and knee pain
-
Disc injuries and nerve pain
-
Postural issues related to service demands
-
Chronic pain and ongoing musculoskeletal conditions
Our Approach to Veteran Care
We understand that many veterans carry complex and long-standing musculoskeletal issues as a result of their service. Physical demands, injuries sustained on deployment, prolonged periods of heavy load carrying and the psychological effects of service can all contribute to chronic pain and dysfunction that requires a thoughtful, patient-centred approach.

At North Fremantle Chiropractic we take the time to understand your history, your goals and what matters most to you. Treatment is never rushed. We work with your GP and other treating practitioners where appropriate to ensure you are getting coordinated, effective care.

Nathan Bridger is both a chiropractor and an accredited strength and conditioning coach, meaning your care can extend beyond pain management into functional rehabilitation and strength work if that is relevant to your goals.

Q: Do I need to pay anything out of pocket?
A: Eligible DVA cardholders with a current referral pay nothing out of pocket for chiropractic treatment at NFC. We bill DVA directly on your behalf.

Q: How many chiropractic sessions does DVA cover?
A: DVA Gold Card holders have ongoing access to chiropractic care as clinically required. White Card holders are covered for accepted conditions. The number of sessions is not capped in advance but is based on clinical need. We will keep your GP informed of your progress.

Q: Can DVA cover conditions that are not service-related?
A: Gold Card holders are covered for all health conditions regardless of whether they are related to service. White Card holders are covered for accepted service-related conditions only. If you are unsure what your card covers, check with DVA or your GP before booking.

Q: Can I see a chiropractor while also seeing my GP or specialist?
A: Absolutely. We work collaboratively with GPs and other treating practitioners. If relevant we will communicate with your GP about your treatment and progress to ensure your care is coordinated.
